Developers of Krutrim AI

The developer behind Krutrim Si Design was founded in April 2023 by OLA CEO Bhavish Aggarwal along with Krishnamurthy Venugopala Tenneti, a board member at ANI Technologies Limited, the parent company of Ola Cabs and Ola Electric.

Krutrim has a PUE of 1.1, which means it wastes only 10% of energy, and Krutim’s data center has a PUE of 1.5, which is about 50% of energy wasted, on top of one unit used for useful calculations . In addition, the company also aims to release an AI-focused system in a package by 2025, likely a multimodal system that includes individual chips housed in a single package, each serving different functionalities. This year, Krutrim Si Design raised $24 million in debt financing from Matrix Partners and also announced a $41 million fundraising from Lightspeed Venture, Peak XV Partners and Khosla Ventures. The company also states that they are working on building the AI ​​infrastructure, which aims to develop indigenous data centers, supercomputing, edge computing and supercomputing.
