Anker’s smart home sub-brand, Eufy, has officially announced its latest line of security cameras with a dual-lens camera that can record to local storage 24/7. The dual-lens camera includes wide-angle and telephoto lenses to better identify faces and license plates.
Each device has two cameras, one with a telephoto lens and one with a wide-angle lens. Moreover, it has a home monitoring network powered by local AI. Eufy Security cameras use proprietary AI cross-camera tracking, which can track movements, such as a person walking across multiple devices, and automatically stitch together a full range of videos.
What is the latest dual lens security camera from Eufy?
Eufy’s latest cross-camera tracking feature will be available to everyone, but with limited access during the trial period. It offers the new standoSeucut capability to provide cross-camera tracking and splice videos, showing every event on every camera. These features will also be available on some existing devices, meaning users won’t have to buy new Eufy Security cameras. However, some cameras and wall light cameras are not fully compatible with HomeBase 3.
Dual-lens security cameras use AI to merge video recordings across multiple devices and create a complete sequence of events. These dual-camera devices represent a major advancement in home security, offering seamless integration of superior camera optics with advanced AI, effectively eliminating blind spots and significantly reducing notification frequency.
Home base 3
This latest tracking feature works with Eufy’s HomeBase. It uses on-device AI to identify a person on any camera connected to it, merge all videos and notify users with a notification. The company sells this for $149.99. The camera works with HomeBase 3 to track people and packages across multiple cameras and provide one seamless notification.
It also bundles a 1TB hard drive that allows users to access locally stored recordings for free without the need for a subscription. However, cloud storage requires users to have a paid subscription.
It offers a free trial of the new multi-camera people tracking feature in Eufy’s latest line of security cameras, including the $199.99 SoloCam battery-powered outdoor camera, the $219.99 Floodlight Cam E340, the Video Doorbell E340 for $179.99, and the Indoor Camera S350.
Eufy’s dual lens security line
This feature is inspired by the banking and traffic sectors and adds multiple capabilities such as motion detection and tracking. It includes facial recognition and detection of people, pets and vehicles. Recordings are stored locally, which means they’re better for privacy-conscious consumers.
Eufy SoloCam S340
It’s a battery-powered outdoor camera with two lenses that starts at $199.99. One of the interesting features is that it comes with a built-in solar panel. The camera has a wide-angle lens with 3K resolution and a 2K telephoto lens with 8x hybrid zoom.
Additionally, it has tracking and zoom functionality with 360° pan and 70° tilt, along with color night vision. It also has 2-way audio, a 100 lumen spotlight and a battery life of 4 months. As for storage, it has 8GB of onboard storage and is also compatible with HomeBase 3.
Eufy’s Floodlight Cam E340
Recording can be done 24/7. This is the first camera with such functionality for $219.99. For storage, there’s a microSD slot for up to 128GB of internal storage. The highlight is the panel with 2 lamps for 2000 lumens of light, designed to be mounted vertically on the wall.
Moreover, it has 360° coverage and can track a person, which you can view from the extended field of view. Furthermore, it also works with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, has 2-way audio, a built-in alarm, scheduled lighting and adjustable brightness.
Eufy’s Indoor Cam S350
One of the latest indoor cameras has a 4K UHD resolution with 8x zoom and 350° pan and tilt functionality. It can also be set to patrol places of interest and perform AI tracking to ensure it keeps a subject in view. On the other side there is a privacy shutter, which is powered by a USB cable. This camera costs $129.99.
Eufy’s video doorbell E340
The company has upgraded its Eufy Dual Video Doorbell with this model, which features a 2x camera (2K) with color night vision and person detection. In addition, there is a second 1080p camera underneath for package detection and the doorbell can be installed with wired power or run on a battery. Additionally, it can handle up to 60 days of event-based recording and has built-in storage capacity of up to 8 GB, eliminating the need for subscriptions.
Anchor Eufy has not yet announced the subscriptions, but they will come later this year. These new, capable Eufy devices are available on Amazon and Eufy’s website. It also works with Amazon’s Alexa and Google Home, while the Eufy Cam 2 series is compatible with Apple Home. The company also plans to add compatibility with Matter soon.
