Many companies have started integrating generative AI, including Notion, which not only improves user productivity but also integrates AI into their workspace. Notion is already one of the most popular apps for task management and note-taking. With the launch of ChatGPT, Google Bard, and Microsoft CoPilot, users are now provided with AI writing assistants.
While there are many AI options to use with Notion, only some like this feature, and some want to disable Notion AI. In this article, we share a guide on how to disable Notion AI for your account. Check out the step-by-step instructions below.
What is Notion AI and what are the benefits of using Notion AI?
The integration of generative AI, a subset of AI that can create content using natural language prompts, is being leveraged by companies using OpenAI’s GPT-AI model. This AI allows users to focus on correcting grammar and punctuation, translating content, adjusting tone, and much more.
Notion AI understands the user’s patterns, preferences, and behaviors within the context of what they’ve written. With this information, Notion AI can intelligently process content to generate the most personalized content. Notion AI also brings several collaboration features.
How to use Notion-AI?
It’s easy to start using Notion AI. Anyone can use it, but it is limited to the free tier. Notion AI allows you to write the prompt in natural language.
- Create a new page and a blank canvas will open.
- At the top you’ll find the option to start writing with AI; otherwise you can also use it with /command.
- It then suggests things like a blog post, an overview, and things you can get started with.
- To edit existing content with Notion AI, use the mouse to select the text and then click Ask AI to use Notion AI features such as changing tone, correcting grammar, etc.
- Once you’ve generated the content, you have options to recreate, continue writing, or make it longer to get the job done.
You have a lot of potential with AI-generated content, such as improving writing, making it shorter, making it longer, changing the tone, and simplifying language. Notion AI is also used to translate from any language to others such as English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Indonesian, Filipino and Vietnamese.
Features of Notion AI
You can use Notion AI to summarize content, get suggestions and ideas, and correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors. However, if you feel that Notion AI is not working as expected, you can deactivate it.
Notion AI is available for free for all Notion accounts, but there is a limit of 20 comments that cannot be exceeded. Once you exceed your limit, Notion AI will be disabled. You can start using this by pressing the space bar to go to a new line or page, but if you go over the limit a pop-up will ask you to upgrade your plan to continue using AI.
